FYI,

Nancy wrote about the elimination of top teams playing lower teams within
the tour. We have chatted about this, and next year we hope to vary the
Tour formats slightly to accomodate this - we won't go back to the bad old
days, but there will be slightly more varied formats, to allow for some
more of this.

It was always expected that there would be less top-team-stuffs-lower-team,
and for that reason, the regionals were suggested as a solution. Now it
appears that these won't happen. That is **NOT** the fault of the Ultim8
committee. Si Hill has posted to this group on MANY occasions pleading for
tournament organisers, and has been making the same requests at tournaments
and behind the scenes.

The regionals were supposed to be for all teams to be able to play each
other, and thus we would have variety in the Ultimate calendar - there
would be highly competitive Tour tournaments, with close games, and
tournaments with less close games, where the less experienced teams may get
beat, but they'll learn loads.

So, why haven't these tournaments taken place? Too many people have waited
for others to organise tournaments instead of organising their own.

If you want to see more tournaments that aren't part of the tour, THEN
ORGANISE THEM.
