The first BUF Ultim-8 Tour has finished after the last tournament in Exeter this w/e. Thanks to everyone who has had a hand in organising the tour and/or one of the events; and also to everyone who has entered and tried to follow the extra rules that have accompanied the competition. Just so that its clear - can I remind you that the TOUR is a seperate competition from Nationals - altho' we will use results from the tour to find the top 16 teams for Nats. Below is the final result of the TOUR. Dave Murray has gone to France - when he gets back he will sort out which teams are into Nationals (after everyone drops their worst score) - but I *think* the teams are the same as the tour's top 17 - (excl. GunII) altho' the order will be different in some places. Can I reiterate the request for feedback on the whole thing. Andy Cotgreave has already publisiced the questionnaire - please take time to help us if you haven't already. If you want a hard copy I have a few that weren't filled in at Exeter. We need more opinion. (Even if all you want to say is: "great - I love it" or "I don't like it because...") Enough chat, the results are below: things were turned upside down in a few places at Exeter... The Druids high-profile dismissal from the top 4 meant they ended up losing their "guaranteed" 2nd place to Catch. Red charged through their opposition when it counted to rack up a load of points and (*) take the last place in the Nationals' Premier Division. Floating Bloke failed to get a team out; leaving Jedi to nip into 17th in the tour; and take the 16th spot at Nationals (*). [(*): waiting for Dave Murray's official confirmation - but we are pretty sure about these two results.] AND not forgetting the SPIRIT - was won by STRANGE BLUE who I believe took a mammoth vote from Southampton, after already winning in Swindon. Lets not forget Stan who (if my memory serves me correctly) won SOTG in both Hitchin and Leicester and were the only team in contention with SB at the end. 1 Shotgun I 770 2 Catch 22 617.5 3 Druids 605 4 Stan 517.5 5 Oxford I 357.5 6 Violently Happy 345 7 Chevron 342.5 8 Shotgun II 280 (not entering Nationals) 9 Red 185 10 First Touch 167 11 Village People 137 12 Headrush 150 13 Strange Blue 96 14 Skwarks 79 15 SLUT 71 16 Blue Arse Flies 58 17 Jedi Children 43 18 Floating Bloke 35 19 GB Juniors 33 20 GB Women 28 21 Sneeekys 24 22 Oxford II 22 23 Playthings 18 24 Night Fever 16 25 Uriel 11.5 26=Force Elektro 8 26=Mad Kows 8 28 Mythago 7 29 Hurricanes 6 30 RWBLiW 5 31 Bliss 4.5 32 Pookas 4 33=Superfly 2 33=Mud Culture 2 35=Twin Peaks 1 35=Skunks II 1 37 Red II 0.25 cheers Si ps - if you fancy playing in a tourney before Ross - why not organise one?
