Laurence has already written some report of all that happened - and I'm not about to add to it - much. Thanks to Andy Kayley and other Skunks and Southampton players who were involved in organising the tournament. But for the weather, things were going pretty well I thought! And there's no denying that those pitches are fantastic - and even I was seen to layout (well, fall over) a couple of times. Thanks also to everyone for their patience, etc in a most unusual situation. Given that lightening apparently did hit a pitch just after we stopped play I guess it was the right decision. Obviously many people will have realised that the tournament also had a couple of hiccups before the weather hit! More thanks to everyone who said nice soothing things to me as I walked around tearing my (now-greying) hair out. Apologies to anyone (most likely to be from Shotgun or Mythago) to whom I was unduly rude! So to the results... (Dave will use these to produce the latest ranking positions and post them soon). Where teams are level, they share the average number of points for their positions. Hence for example Druids and Shotgun get 150 pts each. see you in sunny Exeter! - don't forget to PAY - the deadline has already passed - and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - if you are going to have to pull out, warn us early. ANYONE pulling out of Tour V too late, without EXCELLENT reason, will be disqualified from Nationals. Given the severity of the punishment, I believe that Kev is happy for the pull-out deadline to be this w/e. Si - Simon Hill ps - if you think any of this is wrong - please get in touch - we had to piece a few bits together... pps - in the "panic" there was no spirit vote. But my vote goes to Strange Blue, who late on Saturday evening accepted several people's word for it that the score between Village People and Headrush had in fact been 14-7 and NOT 14-6 as recorded (and signed for) on the score sheet. The results in the group meant that with the score at 14-7, Village and Headrush went up, with Village carrying fwd a win against Headrush; whilst had the score been 14-6 SB would have gone through, carrying fwd their win against Village. With GunII absent, the repurcusions of this decision could be as far reaching as being the difference between qualifying in the top 8 at Nationals, and not. Massive respect to SB for their legendary spirit. OK - the almost-results: 1. Druids Shotgun 3. Catch 22 Stan 5. Chevron Oxford 7. Village People Violently Happy 9. Headrush Red J 11. Squawks ----------- 12. First Touch SLUT 14. Blue AF Jedi 16. GB Juniors Strange Blue 18. Floating Bloke Mythago ------------ 20. Red (White and Blue) Lights 21. GB Women 22. Nightfever 23. Mud Culture 24. Skunks 25. Uriel (The bottom 6 were playing round robin - carrying fwd results from Saturday. As luck would have it, it was actually possible to seperate the teams despite GBW, Nightf, and Mud having a 3-way tie on games won.)
