Whitcombe Farm Disc Golf Classic at the end of this month. This is a BDGA Tour Event. However, mainland Europeans are cordially invited!! For those unfamiliar with the course: it runs over 80 acres (?50 hectares) of steeply rolling organic farmland. There are two permanently installed courses of 18 baskets with single chains (for challenging putting). June 28th & 29th Registration will be from 9.30 am on Saturday, with tee-off at 11 am. This should give all you laggards plenty of time to get there! We will be playing 2 rounds on Saturday; and 1 on Sunday morning, with a play-off to finish. Accommodation. There are a limited number of beds left in the Summer House, so first come, first served for the remainder. The usual terms apply: GBP 5.00 per person per night. Camping is available right outside the Summer House. This will cost GBP 1.00 per person per night. You are welcome to arrive any time after 2pm on Friday. (If you arrive earlier, you do so at your own peril, you will get to meet a very dull cousin whose only interest in life is family trees. You have been warned). Tournament fees: GBP 15.00; BDGA members GBP 12.00; unwaged GBP 7.00. Please pay at registration. Practice rounds on Friday - help yourself. Trophy: A new (perpetual) trophy has been purchased, a rather fetching piece of Shona sculpture I purchased from an artist in Harare. Hopefully, previous winners' names will be engraved before the tournament. I would appreciate it if you could indicate if you're coming, and if you know of others who are not wired who are coming.
