Sender: owner-britdisc@csv.warwick.ac.uk Precedence: bulk On r.s.d there is some discussion about games to 19 or 21 being too long - I must have had this on my mind as I watched some of the recently televised tennis (French Open?) - sad but true ;-) Anyway, my idea was to try playing a series of short games to four (LOVE-15-30-40-GAME) based on the tennis model. Still seven a side Ultimate, but with parallels to the tennis format i.e. - must win a game by two (...DEUCE-ADVANTAGE-GAME); - same team pulls (SERVES) for whole game before alternating; - change ends only after every odd number of games; My challenge to those teams out there who practice regularly (and who maybe get bored with the standard format) is to try to play a full SET of games ... using the TIE-BREAK if necessary!
