However, with respect to Yes but Nau I guess I have to take personal responsibility. I played with Strange Blue at YbN last year and had a great time, so I was keen to organize at team for this year's tournament. Months ago when I asked people what they thought there seemed to be sufficient interest that I registered for the tournament and put up £65 or whatever of my own money for a team deposit. However, as the deadline for getting the rest of the money in approached, people were pulling out and it became clear that I had only two options: I could risk trying to put together a team that would be almost entirely made of pickups, without a great deal of time, or I could give the organizers as much notice as possible that we were withdrawing. I chose to withdraw, and I let them know about 5 weeks before the tournament. The ways things worked out I ended up disappointed, out of pocket, and now rather embarassed. Not much of an explanation perhaps but those are the facts.
