Instead of using clubs to putt balls into holes, you throw specially designed flying discs, similar to Frisbees® from a tee area to a 'hole'. The hole in the case of disc golf is an elevated metal basket.. The objective is to take as few shots as possible over a course of 9, 12 or 18 different targets. … the best sport you've never heard of - TNT Magazine … a sport that skims past bunkers - The Times … the next sporting craze - Cilla Black … a sport that's booming - Timeout … golf with no balls - The Sun (Scotland) Useful Internet Sites discgolf.co.uk - UK Disc Golf Portal obmegazine.com - Journal of Disc Golf news with a European bias discgolfphotos.com - The UK's largest archive of disc golf photos bdga.org.uk - British Disc Golf Association pdga.com - World-wide governing body Disc Golf Demographics - 1998 Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) Member Survey www.pdga.com/demographics.phtml
