This coming Sunday is "Worlds Biggest Disc Golf Tournament" day. All
round the world tournaments are held at which the maximum participation
is encouraged. The club which involves the biggest number of new players
even gets a free set of baskets to set up a new course!
I think last year there were around 17000 players involved in organised
events, but I could be wrong!
We are not really pushing this in Britain, but there will be small scale
events in Bristol (contact Bud Tilton), Leaminton Spa (contact me) and
Edinburgh (contact Liam Young).
If you fancy trying your hand at disc golf you will be welcome at any
of these events. These are not serious tournaments, mine is very informal
turn up any time between 10am and 5pm and play as many holes as you like.
I will be on hand to show people round, give coaching and persuade you
to buy a commemorative disc and mini.
