Hosted at the Abbey Rugby Club in Reading on the weekend of the 3rd/4th August at a mere £70 per team, a weekend devoted purely to those of us who are too skint, too scared of flights or just too bad to go to Hawaii: This is what you get for your money: -Bar which will be open from Friday evening -Free Camping (two seperate areas - loads of room) -Up to 5 pitches, so plenty of room for teams -Saturday night party will have a DJ/live band -An "extracurricular" competition - hacky volley, ddc, anything else you suggest - whatever is most popular -Food at £10 per player - BBQ and pasta dishes on the Saturday evening and a breakfast on Sunday morning -Hot showers (They've put 120 rugby players through in 30 mins before!) The only drawback is that there is only one shower room. The shower block can have its access reduced to one door so there will have to be a rota for the showers (eg 1 hour girls, 1 hour boys). We can only aplogise for this, you'll just have to have a beer whilst you're waiting! Directions can be found on the Abbey website (www.abbeyrfc.org) with a map. Emmer Green is the nearest set of shops, just a couple of minutes down the road with a small supermarket there (Budgens) or Reading town centre is 10 minutes away with everything and anything you want. B&B details for anyone feeling plush can be supplied on demand, if you've got any queries please contact me and I'll do what I can to help you out. The deadline for cheques to arrive is the end of June as I have to place a deposit at that point, if there's room still I will of course extend it. The following teams have already expressed an interest - SkuMy Smash and Grab Uriel Block Stack Zoo/Hammerage Chunkey Monkey Thank you everyone, I look forward to seeing you in sunny Reading in August!
