Although it was a bit chilly for this time of year, the predicted snow, rain and driving winds failed to materialise and round two of LUS League series I was played under clear blue skies. We didn't manage to start any earlier than the previous week, but with the summer evenings lengthening, Dave Travell's Team C had time to establish a slim 12-10 lead by ten-past-eight. The game was capped to 14. Team A staged yet another last-minute comeback, with the scoring going something like 13-10, 13-11, 13-12, 13-13, leaving us with a sudden-death decider - again! Alex Bowers (Mohawks/UTI) found Yusi Wang (Mohawks) free in the zone for Team C, to finish it 14-13. Next week, B and C meet in a decider to determine who will take the lead at the half-way mark. Meanwhile, Roger Thompson's Team A have to win both their rematches to remain in contention. Stay tuned.
