Here's to Steve! (membership fees and other questions) I feel for you... As a two penneth man and the one locally generating fiery responses, I just want to say, we have a whole year to decide if we do/don't like what is going on for UKU and a better chance of doing something about it than affecting those who govern our country, businesses and world! After most revolutions there is another... Possibly because people don't see things happening fast enough. Or 'cos they think "ohh, I can do that... and better" whatever. I was at the AGM that decided three were many, as you would expect there were a whole group of people discussing football (girls game) in a corner, not listening to the decisions being made. There were many excellent points raised which contradicted the proposed veiws attitudes and recommendations and they were discussed... often to a suitable conclusion. I dont doubt that the transition from Fed to Assoc takes time, and there is a bit of pot of money (about one years wage for many reading this) and i am pretty confident that as long as they don't let me near it, the cash will be spent productively. I see Steves point about Visibility & Transparency both are subject which need to be addressed and i am looking forward to seeing some of those. Can i take this opportunity to connect this issue to another recently discussed point. Student Membership. Considering many people (not just Steve) are a litttle short on the facts and consequences of the forming of the UKU, it is understandable that there will be a drop in membership. Even without a few unsure people there we would expect a period of adjustment to take place. Oo, another drink... Here's to the future of UK Ultimate... to more Women in the game, to more Asians and Blacks... and the Juniors. To the Scots doing better, to the CUBE beach fest and to the long desired summer & whinging pommes! where would we be without them? I love drinking at work. Keeps the ideas coming... Sam Inbred n Fly!
