If such events need the UK Ultimate 'stamp of approval' to make them well attended then that can be done. I suggest that as many student reps as possible attend the student AGM (whenever that is) to discuss what level/quantity of events you want. A few less student teams in the tour isn't a disaster. What would be worse is restricting the development of the Tour in order to accommodate a few student teams. I notice that there are still many student *players* in the tour - generally the best players from the student clubs. This is an excellent thing as it means that their experience can be passed down to their student clubs but without requiring the commitment from a whole team. Shoving freshers into the Tour doesn't make sense - they need more suitable events.
