Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Sender: owner-britdisc@warwick.ac.uk Precedence: bulk Hi Britdisc, A couple of weekends ago the Bongos hosted a disc sports weekend at the Green Park Centre in Aylesbury. On the Sunday afternoon a max distance competition was held. A flat distance range was measured and marked up. Distances were measured from the marked line running up the centre of the driving range, perpendicular to the throw line. There was a slight wind helping the throwers. To my best knowledge the distances recorded are the first of 2002 (disc class-golf). If anyone knows different please let me know. Here are the results: BIG ARM DISTANCE COMPETITION Disc Class - Golf Top 8 Throws 126.0m - Sammy Neilsen (Innova Leopard) 120.0m - Jester Wilson (Innova Valkyrie) 111.0m - Derek Robins (Innova Eagle ) 111.0m - Tony Wakeford (Millennium JLS) 110.0m - Neil 'Bruce' Webber (Discraft Z-XS) 109.0m - Duncan Hartshorne (KC Teebird 174g) 100.0m - Rob Capper (Discraft XS) 95.0m - Ben Ayres (Discraft XL 167g) Great throw Sammy! *no women took part in the womens distance division. Are any up and coming Ultimate tournaments running Big Arm Competitions - Ultrastar Class and Golf? All the results from the Green Park Centre have been archived and can be viewed at http://www.obmegazine.com/resultsdoublesmp2002.htm The Green Park Centre will be hosting more action on June 8/9.
