I'm afraid I am away on a course at the moment and getting access to the internet is a right pain. OK. Qualifying slots. It's always very difficult to get this right and whatever you do there are always going to be complaints about favouring one region over another Blah Blah Blah Blah. The final decision I came to was to basically split it up as equally as possible. Thus 5 slots have been allocated to the North, South East, South West and the Midlands with 4 slots for Scotland. Now I know this is far from ideal and there will be good teams that miss out in some regions whilst weaker ones qualify elsewhere. BUT at the end of the day the aim of allocating slots is to ensure that all teams with a chance of doing well at Nationals get a chance and if you can't get in the top 4 in your region you ain't going to win overall. No one region is blatantly stronger than the rest so I think this is the fairest way. Should a qualifying team not be able to make it to natinals then the next placed team in that region will take their place as has happened over the previous years. Thank you to all the tournament directors who have madethis happen and good luck to all the entered teams. If there are any MAJOR issues over the next few days I can be contacted at the Latimer Mews Conference centre. 01494 764466. I can pick a message up at reception and try and get back to you. Unfortunately their is no network cobverage so I can't use my mobile.
