Instead, players should make a point of getting involved in matters that concern them. I'm sure Diana wouldn't want me saying how women's ultimate should be run any more than I'd like her telling me how to compete at international level. So my involvement in women's ultimate extends as far as discussing things with Liz Bourne now and again. I hope the BUF (we) can tolerate members who contribute despite having a different view. [unquote] I can agree with all this but my sadly lacking in Rafi's answer is any justification or clarification for writing .... [quote] the BUF is doing FA about the state of women's ultimate. The BUF has after all taken its most familiar stance in a crisis, sticking its head in the sand. [unquote] Come on Rafi, first you slag off the "BUF" for having it's head in the sand, and doing FA, then you say that it should be up to the women to sort things out for themselves anyway. You chucked the mud in an unhelpful way and I think you need to either redirect it somewhere specific so that someone deals with a valid criticism or alternatively retract your comments. I should point out that I have respect for Rafi because he does get involved in matters which concern him. He stood for BDGA Competitions Director when he didn't like the way a Golf tournament was run. I am labouring the point about being specific because too many people are happy to slag off their own VOLUNTARY organisation without stating their grounds or offering any helpful insight, and if you are a volunteer organiser this is really demoralising.
