Turn Left onto the A164 signposted Beverley. Follow the A164 approx 10 miles to Beverley which involves numerous roundabouts - basically keep going straight and follow the main road. Once in the built-up area of Beverley you will reach two mini- roundabouts very close together. Go straight across the first and right at the second onto Keldgate(B1230). Follow the road about 0.5 miles to a t-junction. Turn right. Follow the road over the railway lines and you'll see the Army Transport Museum on your left and Beverley Leisure Centre on your right. >From York: >From York head towards Hull on the A1079. After passing through the village of Bishop Burton (where you'll see a very picturesque pond on your right) you come to a large roundabout. Go straight across (signposted Beverley) past the racecourse on your left. Keep going for a mile or two to reach a t-junction with traffic lights. Turn left and immediately right. You quickly reach a roundabout, approach it in the right hand lane and turn right. Follow the road (staying in the right hand lane) straight across a crossroads to a small roundabout, turn right here and then take your first left on Eastgate. Follow the road across the train track where you'll see the Army Transport museum on your left and the Leisure Centre on your right. >From Hull (for those staying on friday night): The people you're staying with will be able to get you on the A1079 (known as 'Beverley Road' in Hull). Follow this road out of Hull. About 5 miles(?) outside Hull you'll hit a fast dual carriageway section with a turn-off left on to the A164 signposted Beverley. You are now on the A164 mentioned in the 'from the M62' directions, about 2 miles from Beverley. >From anywhere else: The above are the only two major roads to Beverley, so if you decide to come a different way then tough. I'm sure you can improvise and look on a map because you'll basically have to join up with the Hull directions (A164) or the York directions (A1079) anyway! By Train: To get to Beverley by train you really need to come either through York (approx 1 train per hour) or more likely Hull (trains at approx quarter to and quarter past the hour). As you come out of the train station turn left and follow the road, bearing right, until you hit Flemingate. Turn left and the Leisure Centre is on your right opposite the Army Transport Museum. It probably best to look at this map: <http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?P2M?P=hu170lt&Z=1> The arrow shows the Leisure Centre and the big red blob is the station. You exit the station to the west on Trinity Lane. It's only about 10 minutes walk from the train station to the Leisure Centre. Any problems feel free to ring Simon on 07811 497474 or even better the Leisure Centre on 01482 881127. For those of you travelling on the friday night Jill WILL be in touch. If you do need to contact her the address is vanderkitty@hotmail.com. Anyway hope that all makes sense, Mark
