But not quite close enough. So, here's an idea that might just make the difference. If you were thinking of playing league, but weren't sure you could commit to making it every week, I now have a new class of league player just for you - a "maybe" player. "Maybe's" are assigned a team, just like "definite"-status players. There'll be an even number of maybe's on each team. As a maybe, you just show up whenever you can. If your team is playing a league game, you can play for them (as long as the other team captain is happy with this). I might also make the rule that league teams can't have more than three subs if they have any "maybe's" playing for them. Mind you, with the numbers we have at the moment, that's looking a pretty unlikely scenario! What you can't do as a maybe is just play for any team you like - you can only play for the team you're assigned to. Otherwise, the league begins to turn into a pickup game, which defeats the object. If your team isn't playing league the week you show up, please play in the pickup game. Please, if you can commit to the league, I'd rather people joined as "definites" - i.e. you're going to try and make it every week. But having a big pool of "maybes" gives us more of a chance of getting the numbers on the night. So, if you've held off committing to the league because of work, but you'd like to show up and play when you can, now's your chance - come and be a "maybe"! I still need the following info from you though: * Your name * Home phone no. * Daytime phone no. if poss * E-mail if you have it * BUF team you normally play for I can think of lots of people who've said that they'd like to play, but can't necessarily make every week. If that is or was you GET IN TOUCH WITH ME NOW! Telephone 0370 918719 (mobile) or e-mail me. **** And please pass this info on to your non-BritDisc team mates. **** MESSAGE FOR NON-LONDON PLAYERS: Apologies for boring everyone else on BritDisc with all this stuff. I never imagined it'd be this much of a problem to get going. I'll be starting posts with "LUS" from now on so you can filter out my crap. Sorry.
