(2)Given no other restrictions where would people ideally put Open Nationals, how about: 20/21 Jul Open Nationals - using Open T1,2 & 3 for seedings 27/28 Jul 03/04 Aug Hawaii (Overseas) 10/11 Aug Hawaii (Overseas) 17/18 Aug 24/25 Aug Open Tour IV 31/01 Sep 07/08 Sep Co-ed Nationals 14/15 Sep 21/22 Sep British Open (assuming not moved into "Spring") ... or some such variation on the same theme? ... how do the numerous teams preparing for Hawaii feel their needs are best met? ... I'm also fairly sure the Mixed teams would like a competitive Mixed tournament closer than a month before Hawaii? I've seen too many finals played in horrific conditions. When a game descends into a game against the elements, it's gone too far. We should do what we can to lessen that risk. Roger said the Open doesn't have much of a portfolio. I'd agree, but that's only because it has been a struggling event, with problems locating a suitable venue. Given time, I would expect this to become a respected event.
