We already have a venue in mind here in Leeds, so now we just need lots of people to say whether they can bring players from their club on certain dates. Depending on numbers, we could have a straight competition, a hat tournament or some kind of hybrid. Ideally, we'd like to have a competition between several evenly balanced teams that can continue into further. The advantage of mixing up players from different teams is that the competition is more even and less experienced players get to learn from more experienced players. We would like to get an event in before Christmas, although we're aware that we're quickly running out of weekends. A quick glance at the events reminder suggests that a one day event on either 17th or 18th of November might be possible. Remember that the London lot probably have to travel for ages through heavy traffic and bad pollution to get to their event, so it should be much easier to travel through the scenery and fresh air of of the wonderful North. We're inviting anyone from places such as Leeds, York, Sheffield, Hull, Durham, Manchester, Chester, Nottingham or anyone else who thinks they can make it. Furthermore, if you think you can run a similar event in the New Year, then let us know. Please can anyone who thinks they can bring a team, or just themselves, to Leeds for a one day event, email me to express interest. Can you also let me know whether you can make it on 17th or 18th of November. Thanks Ben Mitchell (Chevron Action Flash) b.mitchell@lmu.ac.uk
