X-Sun-Charset: ISO-8859-1 Sender: owner-britdisc@csv.warwick.ac.uk Precedence: bulk Hello All People are understandably wanting to know if they are in. And basically the situation is that if you entered, you are in. This is because Leicester have secured a 9th pitch, making it possible to have 28 teams. BE WARNED! This won't always be possible. Some teams nearly lost out this time round by being too slow! - Make sure you know what is going on, and most importantly when the closing dates are for the remaining events. At the rate things are filling up, if you miss the closing date you won't get in. If you do meet the closing date then entry will follow the system described in the tour pack - which means that at least the top 18 teams get in by virtue of the ranking. So check the closing dates. (The closing date for Swindon is 10th May.) Other comments: 1. The tour 'relegation system' will come into effect now because the tourneys are filling up. (Didn't apply it to Hitchin becuase 5 slots at Hitchin were unfilled.) So check up in the pack (eg from your capt/team contact) what this means. Essentially it will only affect the 4 teams finishing 25th-28th at Leicester. 2. Captains meeting is at 9.30am - games will start soon afterwards. 3. We will publish seedings and as much of schedule as possible asap. 4. This tourney is at A NEW VENUE IN LEICESTER as has been mentioned already by Scott. Don't go to last year's venue (unless you have a fascination for building sites). If you are late for any game in the tour, you lose A POINT PER MINUTE. 5. ROSTERS. If you need to add people to your roster, please make sure you GIVE IT TO ME IN WRITING at (preferably BEFORE) captains meeting. Some peopple may have been entered on a roster for Hitchin but not actually played. In this case, you are still able to move. Strictly speaking this isn't quite the idea - but this is new to all of us so its fine. IF YOU ARE THINKING OF CHANGING TEAMS AND YOU *DID* PLAY AT HITCHIN THEN LET US KNOW BECAUSE YOU CAN'T NECESSARILY DO THIS. Players and teams are making a huge effort to understand and play by these roster-restrictions. If you 'break' them do not expect sympathy from anywhere. The teams involved are likely to lose tour points (at least!) OK - here are the teams - (in the order in which they paid). > 1. Catch 22 > 2. Strange Blue > 3. Jedi Children > 4. Fluid Druid4 > 5. Village People > 6. Shotgun Wedding I > 7. Shotgun Wedding II > 8. Bliss > 9. Stan > 10. First Touch > 11. Phat ¹Eds I > 12. Sneeeky¹s > 13. Headrush > 14. Chevron Action Flash > 15. Uriel > 16. Oxford Ultimate I > 17. Squawks > 18. Headrush > 19. Twin Peaks > 20. GB Juniors > 21. Blue Arse Flies > 22. Red Jesters > 23. SLUT > 24. Oxford Ultimate II > 25. VH > 26. Ex Hamsters/Fingers 6 > 27. Mad Kows At this moment there is a space left. But we expect this to be taken up by one of two teams that are still sorting themselves out - but at this point the final spot is still up-for-grabs. Any questions/info please get in touch. Thanks See you there Si ----- Simon Hill 0113 289 0971 (h) 0113 233 5175 (w) amtsjh@amsta.leeds.ac.uk (for Patrick!)
