Originally, the 8th tour event of the year was scheduled to happen at Burnlaw in Northumberland on 22/23 September. Thankfully, the Tour will continue at the UK's oldest disc golf course at Essex University in Colchester. The weekend remains the same 22/23 September. All BDGA Tour events are two-day competitions and everyone is welcome. If you are interested to play but can't commit to the two days, in most situations you can come along and play one-day only (two rounds of golf). Also, you don't need to be a member of the BDGA to take part. If you do intend to play it is a good idea to contact the Tournament Director before hand. Directions to Essex University can be found by browsing the UK Disc Golf Course Directory at www.obmegazine.com/courses.asp There are also photos from the Essex course at http://discgolfphotos.com/gallerypages/england/essex97_2000/index.htm Essex Schedule:- Saturday 22 Sept 9.45am - players meeting at sports centre 10.30am - first round 18 holes After lunch - 18 hole second round Sunday 23 Sept 9.30am - Players meeting at sports centre, followed by the third round of 18 holes After lunch - fourth/final round There will be the normal Closest To The Pin (CTP) and Longest Drive competitions. Tournament Entry Fee £7.50 per player/ £6.50 BDGA members Accommodation There is a caravan park nearby that is popular. Andy Lucey has more details mailto:andylucey@yahoo.com Charlie Mead is Tournament Director so contact him if you have further enquiries. mob - 07802 321710 charles.mead@easynet.co.uk Hope to see you there and have a good weekend.
