You can hassle him at cjhughes@talk21.com EUROPEANS Frustratingly little further information. The latest information we have is that they are "currently planning to host the EUCC on 9 - 14 July, 2001". There has been a change of venue as the Blsany site has fallen through. We are now told that Prague is the intended location. I would advise everyone to pencil this in your diaries but be prepared for possible future changes of date and venue or even cancellation. Put it this way: Hwo is still offering odds of 250 - 1 that the event will be in Leicester! ;-) Please don't ask us to speculate on team allocations and divisions. Until they have a firm venue they're not going to be able to do this. Ominously, there are plans to admit some non-European teams to "raise the the level of play and give European teams at least a glimpse of Ultimate from other continents." (to quote Thomas Griesbaum of EFDF). The BUF have complained vigourously about this on a number of occasions. With the exception of the junior division (which may need non-euro teams in order to be viable) we want to see as many European (and hopefully British) teams reach the event as possible. Lets not forget that a European team reached the final of the 1999 World Club Championships. We'll try to keep you up to date...
