The 6 teams that played included: Purple Haze (Loughborough, who sadly failed to bring any women to the co-ed!!) Mud Culture (Glasgow) Jedi Children (Leeds) More than just a hint (fomer junior players of 'Hint of Lime' now no longer based in Gosport, Hants) Disciples (Bradford University) El Diablo (the debut of the Bradford open team) As a result of the shortage of teams we all got to play each other twice prior to the semis and the final. It added interest to the calls when in the semis teams were playing each other for the third time and were attempting to make up their third different call of the tournament. Apart from the dominance of 'More than just a Hint' who won all of their fourteen games, the standard was fairly tight, combined with the fact that each team had a chance to play each other twice it meant that the top four for the semis was a very close call. After their dominance of the group games 'More than just a Hint' took the trophy although Disciples ran them very close in the semi final. Purple Haze, who came second, won the plate, whilst the always popular choice of Mud Culture got the prize for spirit. Final positions were... 1. More than Just a Hint 2. Purple Haze 3. Mud Culture 4. Disciples 5. El Diablo 6. Jedi Children It only remains to thank the Bradford teams for hosting the tournament and for a fantastic meal and saturday evenings entertainment and al for a bargain three pounds. Cheers to everbody. More than just a hint.
