BUT, where does it say that once you are top 4 , one of the 'mighty', you can stay there? The benefit of this American system, is that if you lose, you drop place, and rightly so I think. In what other sport does losing keep you in the top? England lost at Euro, so they're out...no matter what their previous performances or standings, or decisions to not play, or not show up, etc. etc. etc. Spirit is really good, and makes the sport, but at the end of the day, to be a champion, you should still have to show up, play the tournaments, and win the games. just my humble opinion...
