I realise that this is not necessarily directly
related, BUT. . .

I know for certain that the University I attend
(Durham) has only really just recognised us for a
sport and not a social club, using some 'minor sport'
to get together for a laugh.  As such only this year
have we been exceedingly lucky to have had one very
nice pitch marked out for us.  However, the likelihood
of any more is very slim and so (this is the main
point) some of the best kept playing fields, at Unis,
are not being made available for any thought of
holding a Tour event.

It strikes me that the ongoing battle to gain
recognition from BUSA may be a crucial issue.  Is
there any news on this?  Once the Universities are
forced to recognise us for a sport (unlike that
Fire-Run thing sent out the other day), it will open
up a wide range of extra venues, plus give the Unis
extra funding which would also aid any intention of
hosting an event, Tour or Student based.
