MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Turnpike Integrated Version 4.02 S <pjZRgFWDsQK5ViyP$l4rxVrb6a> Sender: owner-britdisc@warwick.ac.uk Precedence: bulk Dear BritDisc, Adam and I have had a little chat, and we're now working on the Ross-on- Wye 2000 tournament. As we see it, there are two realistic potential dates: 28 + 29 July 2000 the w/e BEFORE WUGC 19 + 20 August 2000 the w/e AFTER WUGC (it's my understanding that the 'gaps' in the BUF Diary at 21+22/07 and 26+27/08 now have venues booked for tournaments) Here's YOUR chance for a bit of pre-tournament interactivity: Which w/e would YOU (and/or your team) prefer? Yes, we realise that the outcome might depend on the opinions of the WUGC players... and that we've already made one concession to them by NOT holding Ross whilst they're away, but Adam prefers to merely offend people, not make enemies of them! Another thing - Adam wants to consider accepting teams on the quality of their "bid". No, not the size of your cheque, but the "the physical presentation of the desire to be at Ross"*. OK? More from us later, In the meantime: ~ Let us know your opinions about dates, ~ Give serious thought to your bids. Wayne Retter Fluid Druids *PS: The Druids were once allowed entry to Washington DC Fools Fest because they were willing to fly out on Friday, and back on Monday, just to play some Ultimate in the USofA. Personally, I reckon Adam's hoping for visits from a scantily clad nubiles with morals sufficiently flexible to persuade Adam to let their team come to Ross... PPS: In the interests of sexual equality, we have not specified the gender of the aforementioned "nubiles". ---------------------------------------------------------------- Wayne Retter Fluid Druids
