The first ever Irish national tournament between the Pookas of=20
Trinity College Dublin at Maynooth college was an unqualified=20
success.  The final score of 13 - 5 in favour of the vistors did not=20
reflect the closeness of the game.  The windy conditions did little=20
to dampen the spirited, competitive play.=20

It was an excellent precursor to the Dublin tournament at the end=20
of March.   It also shows that Ultimate is here to stay in Ireland,=20
judging by the enthusiastic turnout.  Hopefully, Dublin City University=20
and University College Dublin will be able to field teams of their own=20
in the coming year, setting the stage for an Irish student league.

The second annual Dublin Tournament is only 4 short weeks away. =20
