This isn't an order from 'on high' - we can't stop you creating websites! - it just makes sense to avoid duplicating effort and avoid confusing web surfers. FYI, we are currently working on a super-duper new site with players from many teams contributing their expertise. We hope to include a free ISP service plus online membership payment for players. We would welcome contributions from anybody with web skills.
