Because of the speed of Ultimate, i.e. you can't run faster than a thrown disc (as I found out all too well in practice today, Thanks to Tom) there would need to be several (my suggestion would be 3/4 indoor and 5/6 outdoor) on the pitch at the same time. This would help reduce the pressure on one player and cut out some of the problems football is trying to cut out by means of 2 refs, goal line cameras etc. . I'm sure the point of how will you get so many refs will be raised, so I'll try and address it. Every club I know of has more than enough members to make up several teams, so getting a couple to referee can't be that difficult. This would be especially viable at tournaments where you can have players from a different pool refereeing (thereby reducing the possibility of 'favoritism'. Again I'm interested to hear your comments, but please don't send them to britdisc and jbc102, as it just clogs up my inbox Jaimie Cross Yorkie Bar Kids
