Not wishing to get too personal, but Laurence has been known to misunderstand/overreact to minor discussions at tournaments. (National Indoors a couple of years ago, 2 Druids discussing something on the sideline). He's obviously a sensitive fellow. In his defence he didn't actually say "heated discussion" anywhere, and he did say "accurate rule calling", which implies he agrees with you (mostly). I think it's perfectly reasonable to take dropped pulls in any game (except at Newport where we play Scandinavian rules) even when they are off the pitch. I wouldn't expect anything else in a final. (for the rules see http://wol.ra.phy.cam.ac.uk/buf/wfdf/96rulult.htm#404.05 especially point 8). So, is this video worth a wider audience. And after reading Kevin's email (573 characters on one line?), I was just thinking about whether practices cause bad habits. Most of the practices I've been to (Chaos, Playthings), dropping the pull is hardly ever called. That's probably reasonable when the game isn't about winning but learning. But is everyone aware of the rules? Is it confusing for beginners, especially when they go to a tournament? -- Neil Travers - work <neil@texcel.no> Neil Travers - home <neil@dreamer.demon.co.uk> Fluid Druids, UK http://www.dreamer.demon.co.uk/
