X-Sun-Charset: US-ASCII Sender: owner-britdisc@csv.warwick.ac.uk Precedence: bulk Hi there I feel as though we've come in for some stick - and me being me, I decided to rise to it. Student Indoors - I'm not sure what game Laurence was watching - but I saw the final on video last night, and couldn't find the "heated discussions" that he was talking about. Naturally, there were some discussions. I'm sure the Skunks would agree that not only were we all friends at the end - but we were all friends throughout the match. I presume then, that Laurence is referring to the fact that we took the turnovers when the Bears dropped the pull (twice) in the semi-final. Bears are thoroughly excellent indoor team. And anyone who takes them lightly in any match (let alone a semi-final) deserves to get beaten by them. We were not going to fall into that trap. Indeed, they also dropped a pull whilst out of bounds. We didn't know if that was a turnover or not - but I've since been told that it should have been. Had we known, we'd have taken that too. What WE find hard to stomach, are the cries of "Spirit" as we play by the (fairly simple) rules. When these people have played in a half-competitive match, maybe they will get a better perspective on this. (Ooops - that'll be a little provacative no doubt - never mind, I"m away for a day or two.) We pride ourselves on trying to play with good spirit at all times - and I hope on the whole that we manage this OK. I know that there are plenty of teams who feel that we do.
