I asked for bids to be made by the end of last week, and so far I have one. Indoor regionals is now only four months away and sports halls are getting booked up. Indoor Nationals has had no offers - and those of you thinking that Wayne and Myself will run it like last year, we've already checked Cheltenham sports centre and they are not available. So some one else will have to do it. Again do not assume that the tour will happen just like last year. Not all the venues are able to run an event again, and so if you want to play, YOU have to do some thing about it. I will be honest - these events are hard work, but they are also a license to print money. Whilst the u8c and myself will ensure that the tournament entrance fees are sensible - you can guarantee a large number of teams entering. Nationals (indoors and outdoors) you can guarantee to fill, and so there is no or little risk financially. Whilst you think that now is not the time to be thinking about outdoors, the first tour event is just over five months away, and if we want quality venues with good pitches and facilities then organise now. The later it is left the more likely the venues will be unable to cope with lots of teams and the pitches will be poor. Your choice. Chris DoC
