What is the rule is about the position of the pivot foot when you
pick up a disc on the edge of the pitch indoors? Or in other words,
if the edge of the pitch is a wall, does your foot have to be up
against the wall, or can you step away from the wall and then pick up
the disc?
In addition, how does the rule apply if during play the disc hits the
wall causing a turnover, and the defensive team takes the disc to
where it went out? Must the player in possession have his/her pivot
foot against the wall, or can he/she take a pace off the side before
establishing a pivot foot? Note the difference is that one has no
option about picking up the disc before establishing a pivot foot.
