The 1999 Junior outdoors is to be held on July 10/11 at Millfield Prep School in Glastonbury. Captains meeting will be at 10:30 on the Saturday. Camping is available free of charge on the Saturday night. Luxury accommodation (in the boarding school) is available for a fee (probably around 11 pound a head). Entry fee will probably be 40 pounds a team (BUF tax does not apply to junior teams). All meals are available, and well worth considering. This is where they (the school) want to make their money, so please think about supporting them so they think about hosting it again. Meal costs are normally in the region of 3 pounds for breakfast, 4 for lunch and 5 for dinner. The food is normally excellent. There will be invites in the post, but feel free to contact Vaughan directly now. His contact details are... Vaughan Williams Chestnut House, Martins Lane, Glastonbury. BA6 8LL. (H) 01458-832245 (M) 07808 175301 (E) chestnut@millfieldprep.somerset.sch.uk His son's email is probably more reliable, so you could try Richard on wilric@hotmail.com The rules for eligibility have been changed to fall in line with the WFDF rules. This means that if you are entitled to play for GB Juniors, you can play in the Junior tournaments. The rules state that you must be under 19 as of the 1st of January in the year of the tournament. Basically, you can play so long as you don't turn 20 this year. You don't need to still be at school. If you cannot get a full team out, you need to make arrangements with the Tournament Organiser (Vaughan) and the Junior Coordinator (me). We don't want to see juniors not playing, but we can't allow a 'super team' to form. Any questions, please feel free to ask. Kevin.
