(Reuters) It has been formally announced that NightFever, the south east based ultimate team have bought control of Whiplash Ultimate for a "nominal" sum. Representatives of NightFever met with Mr Mark Jefferson, acting on behalf on Whiplash, in Edinburgh on Friday 4th June. Negotiations were said to be brief, yet productive. The deal is thought to be the first of it's kind in ultimate, and means that Whiplash are now a wholey owned subsiduary of NightFever. A Nightfever spokesman said that the team were "delighted" with Friday's events, although stressed that no firm plans for the future of Whiplash had been determined. No statement has yet been issued by Whiplash.
