	Dear All,

		we enter 1997 on the threshold of possibly another cock- 
up. As yet, we have NO teams wishing to hold ANY qualifiers for the 1997 
National Indoors.

	If Anyone can think of somewhere to hold the Northern, Midlands, 
South Eastern and South Western tournaments ideally on the weekend of the 
1st and 2nd of March, could they PLEASE get in touch ASAP.

	Otherwise, I will start phoning and start delegating.

	For midlands and Northern teams I will accept bids for the 
following w/e.

	In view of the proposed venue for the finals pending 
confirmation) I feel it would be unwise for theSE/ SW qualifiers to be on 
the 7th/ 8th. These qualifiers cannot take place on the prior weekend 
becasue of a clash with the Student Indoor Finals.

	ONLY AS A LAST RESORT will I consider bids for the w/e of the 
15th and 16th as this clashes with the Junior Nationals and puts the 
right royal mockers on the work that Kev Lowe has done


	SO     If you don;t want me phoning you up at odd hours of the 
day and saying "Sorry, Old chum, but you're now the official organiser of 
the (blah) Qualifiers, thanks to my highly detailed selection scheme 
involving a list of gullible people, a blindfold and a pin!"
