If they enter regionals under their own name, then for the purpose of this tournament, yes, they are considered a club. 2. If you do not play at regionals then yes you can play for any indoor team at Nationals as you have not been 'cup-tied' 3. Yes you can supplement your first team with 'new' players who have not played for either team in regionals, thereby leaving your 2nd team intact, but once you move a player from your second team to the first team one of these two teams (presumably the 2nd team) cannot play at Nationals irrelevant of qualification. 4. You don't stop two teams from the same club amalgamating into one super team since they could do this anyway. 5. I make the assumption (possibly rashly) that as in all areas of ultimate that Spirit will prevail. Is that enough explanation for everyone or do people want pictures as well? Should you not play at regionals you may pick-up with any club >at Nationals. Should you play at regionals you do not have to play at >Nationals. By this rule, 'non-regular' teams such as (for example) Mr Men, Look at Me! and Wyld Stallions must, by definition, a) be a CLUB b) be a 'second team' of another clubs c) none of the above, in which case they could qualify, elect not to play at Nationals, and pick up for other CLUBS (Reminds me slightly of a similar Outdoor scenario...! and of an Indoor query involving the Manchester teams last year...) >2. If a club enters more than one team to regionals then players may >move between teams between regionals and nationals (note: players may not >switch between games at either tournament - you may only play for one team >at each tournament). HOWEVER, should a player move from Team B to Team A, >then Team B must forfeit their slot at Nationals if they qualify. >This allows you to play experienced players on a weaker team for regionals, >and then move them up to your first team for Nationals. >If your second team qualifies as well then the experienced player must >either stay with the second team, or the second team forfeits their place >at Nationals. This also allows you to move players up due to injuries. It is assumed OBVIOUS that the second team CAN NOT attend 'cos it's supplementing the first team? They are not allowed to replace these 'promoted' players with others from their player base...? These 'new' players could, however, go straight into the first team as the 'injury subs'. So how do you stop any club from (for example) entering two "good" Iron Man teams to Regionals (maybe different Regions!), qualifying for Nationals - maybe not top of the region, but in a position to win - and then amalgamating those two teams into a "superteam" that will win the Nationals event (rather than both finishing top 6)? Off the top of my head I can think of three clubs that _could_ do that... Wayne Retter Fluid Druids
