Well, a quick one anyway. In fact I was just writing this when Leo's arrived in my mailbox - so I'll just add a couple of things if thats OK.... This w/e saw 3 (out of 4) of the Regional Student Indoor Champs: North, Mids and SW. SE will happen in January as nobody there came forward to host until it was too late. This tourney now has 4 regions in order to allow for people with only one hall to host the event, or to make it small enough for a "first-timer TD" to feel comfortable in taking on the job! And thats what happened: with Lancaster, Sheffield and Southampton being the 3 venues. (I know Soton do lots of tourneys - but the others don't.) With about 12 teams in each tourney it was also possible to have a good schedule with lots of games/long games, etc. Top 4 teams from each region qualify for Finals in Leeds in Feb. Leo's already given a good flavour of what was a great fun, well organised, and well spirited tourney, so I won't repeat all that .. other than to say what a pleasure it was to play in a big hall with big endzones (see eurodisc discussion) and no walls.... and it was a pleasure to see Bob do that greatest play.... even if I did drop it! Thanks to Lancaster... and to the other TDs. See you soon Si
