Both Sam and Del have focussed on the Alumni/ye olde mates set up of many a non-geo team in Britain and content the Hombres/Regulators merger as anticompetitive! I think they have become focussed on one particular scenario in a particularly blinkered way and been unfair on their view of the geo-team set-up. It may be true that for Stan the non-geo approach is the most appropriate because few of them have any local team to practice with and besides they all have the ex-Warwick tie. But to then argue against mergers to make teams stronger is somewhat hipocritical when they themselves have poached players from practicing geo teams in order to strengthen for World Clubs in the past (and possibly in the future?). My MAJOR complaint is that these Alumni teams offer promises of International/National glory and strip those players from DEVELOPING geo teams that could strengthen them and accelerate their development. Non-geo teams are strangling British Ultimate. > Del. > > PS Sean, have you and Ingo and Conor started that Brighton team yet? Del and Sam, how's that Kenilworth team coming along? What about Cambridge, Brimingham, Wolverhampton and Exeter to add but a few to the list! 1 bitter and twisted Scott /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ SCOTT: Ian Scotland Tel: 0116 2525824 Fax: 0116 2523154 E-mail: iws1@le.ac.uk http://wol.ra.phy.cam.ac.uk/buf/ /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
