Details about how to get to Leicester and Victoria Park have been sent out to the team contacts although directions are also available on the Red Website at www.ultimateweb.co.uk./red. Accommodation will be camping. There is a limited number of places available for teams to doss on the floor of student houses, but this is reserved only for those who have a genuine problem with camping. If you intend arriving on Friday night we also need to know, as there is no camping. To notify us if you have problems with camping or if you want to come Friday night then please phone Kieran on 0116 2830343 as soon as possible. The campsite will be, in all likelihood, at Aylestone Leisure Centre, although there is an outside chance it could be at Nelson Mandela Park. Both of these sites are on the map of Leicester. I suggest you play the fun game of "find Aylestone Leisure Centre and Nelson Mandela Park" with your team on the journey to Leicester, as this saves me marking them on the map!! At the captains meeting the exact site will be announced and tents can be erected anytime after about 4pm on Saturday. The evening s entertainment will be at one of Leicester s top night-clubs, Mosquito Coast, which means we will be able to party until 2am to mighty fine music. A great night is promised. Bring your boogie shoes. Tickets will be issued at the captains meeting and these will gain you entry to the club for a mere 50p so long as you arrive between 9 and 11pm. After that they are not valid and the full price of £3.50 applies. For those of you who don t want the hassle of looking for somewhere to eat in the evening/want to start drinking earlier/are tight, there is the option of eating at the Dry Dock for a bargain of one pound sterling. Between 6 and 8pm they will serve a classic English meal of sausage chips and beans garnished with a choice of brown or tomato sauce. The pub is right next to Victoria Park so is very convenient but there are limited spaces (approx. 50). Tickets will be available at the captains meeting on first come first served basis. Even if you don t want food there I recommend the dry dock if you fancy visiting a pub as they will be putting on games of some sort and cheap beer offers. The likes of Warwick and Purple Haze should know the sort of thing!! That's about it, so I will see you at the Captains meeting at 9.30am on Victoria Park. Simon Weeks Student Co-ordinator
