X-Sun-Charset: US-ASCII Sender: owner-britdisc@warwick.ac.uk Precedence: bulk After a couple of fatigue-induced hiccups... here are the Overall Tour Rankings after Tour II. But first: 1. PLEASE NOTE: There are continuing discussions regarding Violently Happy and Twin Peaks. A really *OFFICIAL* ranking list will appear in the TOUR FLYA - available soon. (By the way, have you seen the Tour Flya I, http://www.designmotive.co.uk/ultim8 Jon Schofield has done an excellent job!) Of course the rankings (and all sorts of other tour info) is also available at http://www.phidelta.demon.co.uk/u8-98/ 2. Thanks to everyone involved in a great tournament, esp. Chris and Wayne. Congrats to all the various winners, but esp. the Gunners. Apologies to the few teams/people that were affected by the mistakes that were made. The best we can do is try to ensure they don't happen again. 3. One last thing, which will hopefully also be in the Flya. Did you (or someone on your team) get injured at a Tour Event? What happened? Was the medical backup adequate for the situation? Have you any further thoughts/ideas on this having been in the position of having an injury? The TDs are trying to put together some sort of report relating to injuries that occured at their events. Maybe you can help them, or just get information direct to me. *************************************************************** One day something horrible is going to happen, and this task is becoming increasingly important. We really need someone with an interest (+level of knowledge?) in this area to step forward and help out. If you think you would like to & can help to look at what happens at tournaments and try to further improve the medical cover that is provided (which has already improved in the last year or so) then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get in touch. Dr Paul Marfleet is also interested in helping and has already given me lots of useful info. We need someone to help his advice become reality... it could be you. ***************************************************************** Rank Points Team Name 1* 480 Shotgun 2* 480 UTI 3 444 Catch 22 4 420 Fluid Druids 5 410 Chevron Action Flash 6 360 Red I 7 343 First Touch 8 331 Headrush 9 320 Red Shift 10 310 Violently Happy 11 287 Sneeekys 12 251 Blue Arse Flies 13 240 Mild Mannered Janitors 14 222 GB Juniors 15 180 Village People 16 175 Strange Blue 17 151 Jedi Children 18 145 Skunks 19 141 Sharks 20 135 Picnic in the Sky 21 125 Bliss 22 110 Superfly 23 95 Twin Peaks 24 85 Whiplash 25 80 K-Niggets 26 65 Mad Kows 27 60 Fingers 6 28 55 NightFever 29 45 SlipDisc 30** 35 Uriel 31** 35 Chaos 32*** 25 Red II 33*** 25 Phat 'Eds 34 15 Mohawks Mwnci Magic 35 10 Mud Culture 36 5 Charnwood Sunz * They have same no. of points. Neither is geo. Look at overall head-to-head tournament finishing positions: 1-1. So go to latest tournament finishing position ==> Shotgun go to No.1 ** They have the same no. of points. Neither is rostered. Look at overall head-to-head tournament finishing positions: Uriel finish 26, Chaos finish 32 ==> Uriel are No.30. [By way of further explanation, Uriel weren't at Leicester, but in the tournament where both Uriel and Chaos were present, Uriel finished higher.] *** Red are geo. Phat'Eds aren't. So RedII go above them. [Phat'Eds elected to play as an unrostered team to make it easier for them to ensure they could get a team out.] Thats it for now - look out for the Tour Flya.
