Date: Mon, 20 Apr 1998 17:12:42 +0100 X-Mailer: Microsoft Exchange Server Internet Mail Connector Version 4.0.995.52 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-britdisc@warwick.ac.uk Precedence: bulk This isn't a tournament report in the strictest sense, Mudgie's doing that and I won't steal his thunder. My blurb is going to him for inclusion. However I would like to thank all those ultimate players who made my life easier at the end of the tournament. Thanks to all the people who brought cones, water bottles, and off loaded lost property. I would like to thank the Bar staff for keeping us fed and watered, and beered. The band 'Jigsaw' (including Tim who relived Gav on Drums when he got too carried away) Particularly those players who cleared up after them selves, and others, by bringing in rubbish, cones and other such items. To Shotgun and UTI who persevered, and waited half the afternoon before starting the Final so that people could watch, and then played in front of an audience of 10. I would also like to thank the following considerate / stupid (delete as appropriate) players; Patch - for putting all his property in the one Head bag, before leaving that so that we didn't have to pack it (the lad's a French Canadian, anything could happen!!!) David MacKay - for weighting down his cagoule by leaving his expensive digital camera in pocket so that it didn't blow away in the wind (I thought he was surgically attached to that thing). The Sneeekys - who laughed at all mine and Wayne's comments about the silly people who leave kit behind; before leaving a very nice bright orange Karrimor rucksack behind (wash bag, towel, brown shoes, white plastic bag of playing kit, inc. boots alongside). The person who put their expensive Gelert 4 Season sleeping bag (blue) in its stuff sack, and then putting on a table in the bar in full view so that we could find it. The player that kindly left their Hi-top Sharks to dry on a radiator so that they won't go mouldy when sitting in my garage for the next four weeks. And all the other people who ensured that when I went home, I had more lost property from the weekend, than there was in that pile on the table from the previous umpteen tournaments. And thanks to all those players who ensured that my disc collection went from 1 on Friday to 14 today And to all those people who persisted in the rain. Particularly the one player; who when asked who won their final game replied 'the pitch' And if Rog had the final comment after tour 1 then this time I have contribution from an unknown player who was overheard muttering as leaving; 'Please let it be sunny at tour 3' Cheers Chris .
