look at http://www.phidelta.demon.co.uk/fluiddruids/newport98/ and follow the
schedule link....

The Newport schedule has some typical indoor tournament features:

 - 16 teams on 1 pitch, and 20 minute timeslots means that there will be some
LARGE gaps between your teams games

Bring books, swimming kit, squash kit, money, guide books. The Newport
Centre has quite a few facilities (pool, squash courts, gym, sauna, etc) for
doing other things, and Newport apparently has some fascinating places to visit
in your spare time.

 - Saturday last game is at *** 8.00pm *** (This is particularly important for
teams seeded top 4!)

Eating and drinking needs to have serious thought applied!

 - Throwing around time between games is, officially, non-existant. Some games
may therefore start a few minutes EARLY after we catch up on any lost time.

We half-expect Saturday to start very slightly late (THIS IS NOT AN
EXCUSE FOR TEAMS TO BE LATER THAN 8.45am) so time between games will be
minimised to catch up on this loss. We're also half-expecting an injury that
will cause stoppage (anyone know someone planning to play with a fractured
kneecap?) but we're holding out hope...

 - If everything goes roughly according to seeding, some teams will have an
apparently antisocial schedule - 5 games on Saturday (including 1st and last!)
and 2 on Sunday (midmorning and near the end!).

 - Teams will be PENALISED for being late to games. The penalties will be made
clear in the captains meeting. NO games will be rescheduled for non-attendence
of a team.

 - ALL TEAMS NEED TO BE AT THE CAPTAINS MEETING (planned 8.45am Saturday) when
the 'seedings' and first games will be announced.
