I guess I'll probably be accused of being a whinger but I have to agree
with some of Guy's comments about discs at *indoor* tournaments.
I also lost a disc at Bristol. The annoying thing is that I bring a disc
so I can warm up before a game and because people just grab the first disc
they can find I wasn't able to do this after the first game. Mine had gone
and even if there had been surplus discs around (which there never are) I
wasn't about to inflict the same thing on anyone else.
I don't object to having my disc used for a game, after all that's what we
are there for. Also discs get trashed pretty quickly indoors and I expect
them to get broken fairly regularly. But I would expect a borrowed disc to
be returned afterwards and if people want to chuck around between games
they should bring their own disc.
Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh. It's been my attitude in the past that
'free' use of discs at tournies is part of the spirit but I've just lost
too many indoors and I'm fed up with it.
