We had beautidul weather all w/e and not a hint of a breeze! It was great to see the 'local' university teams bringing along their new players - and the host school fielding two teams: Sexy Motherhuckers and younger team Nads. The suprise(d) winners were 'Leeds Legends' (fielding players from 6 seperate years of intake at Leeds Uni Ultimate + Ivan 'he's not from Leeds, but he is a Legend' Brommage), who toppled the mighty Chevron in a close fought final. Fingers 6, (who've been quiet for a while - but no longer I suspect), beat Mud Culture to win the plate. (They left the field cheering something about a Manchester Double...) And not forgetting the irrepressible Superfly who ran away with the spirit (again). I think everyone had lots of fun, and its fair to say the tourney was a great success. Thanks very much to Rich Parkes for doing the lion's share of the work, and to Rowena for her help sorting out the fields at the school. No doubt the North&Mids Regional is a permanent fixture regardless of the tour, nationals or the weather! We need more, more, more tournaments of this size and seriousness going on all year - and they are so easy to organize! Final results: 1. Leeds Legends 2. Chevron Action Flash 3. Red 4. Sneeeky's I 5. Superfly (SOTG) 6. Whiplash (still looking for a new name I believe) 7. Purple Haze 8. Sexy Motherhuckers 9. Fingers 6 (Plate) 10. Mud Culture 11. Bears 12. Phat'Eds 13. Sneeeky's II 14. Nads Hopefully Lawrence (or someone) might send a more interestingly written report with a few more details here and there... Si
