(plus a few other things...) I will get this info out as soon as possible. 2 things I would like cleared up Firstly, were the results of the questionnaire ever published? I was offline for a while so may have missed them but would be interested. Secondly, can someone please state clearly the rules on rostoring for next year. This year there was confusion as to exactly what the nature of playing for teams not your own, switching teams, picking up and non rostored teams etc was. This led to some players from smaller teams wanting to play at some tour events but being unable to because their team couldn't get to every event and them having played for or going to play for their club - consequently missing out on the chance to play for much of the summer. Only towards the end do I remember people talking about unrostored teams etc. As for the tour v nationals debate - Nationals is just the equivalent of saying "next goal wins" at football - surely the tour shows the strengths of the teams and the final tournament means little. Finally - a radical suggestion. How about halving the size of the tour and replacing with some sort of district tour - thus players can compete both for their clubs in the club tour and their district in the district tour to give them a chance to play high quality without having to join a different team for the whole summer. My guess is that politics would render this unworkable but it seems to have the potential to help both clubs and players individually as players wouldn't feel they needed to play for teams 300 miles away just to get high quality play. Like I say - it's just a suggestion - and I'm happy in my own little ideal world! Dave. Mud Culture.
