The meeting will take place on the evening of Saturday 27 September in Swindon (at the same venue as the BUF National Outdoor Finals). The BFDF is the umbrella body for ALL DISC SPORTS in Britain and both the BUF and BDGA are full organisational members. The BFDF currently has very few postholders and the views of Ultimate and Disc Golf players are represented by the elected delegates from the BUF and BDGA respectively. If you have views and ideas about the broader disc sports scene in Britain you could pass them on via your elected representatives (i.e. by having either Ian 'Scott' Scotland or Derek Robins present your input). If you would like to make a more active contribution to the role and running of the BFDF, you are more than welcome to attend the meeting yourself. If you are unsure about the need to attend, talk to one of those listed below. Indeed, if you have any queries about the role of the BFDF / BUF / BDGA (commonly referred to as the "three B's"), then try to talk them through with one of the following people during Saturday (or at any other time for that matter). Sam Neilson (Stan) BFDF National Director Andy Hughes (ex Wolves) BFDF Secretary Steve 'Kenny' Kennedy (Chevron) BFDF Treasurer Leo James (Sneeeky's) BFDF Director of Communications Ian 'Scott' Scotland (Red) BUF National Director Derek Robins (Stan) BDGA National Director Jo Pears (Leicester?) Three B's Administrator ... and here is the BFDF AGM Agenda and covering note as written by Andy Hughes [with only slight editing be myself ;-)]: ========================================================================= Hi there folks Here's the proposed agenda for Saturday's AGM. It looks slightly shorter than usual, but I guess an AGM should really be about a review of the past year, and a chance to cover the more formal parts of our constitution such as official elections and the like. If you are not going to be able to attend you can submit any thoughts/comments/statements to me and I'll present them at the meeting on your behalf. If you would prefer to talk rather than email (dunns@compuserve.com), I can be contacted on 01902 713488 in the evening and 01384 564770 during office hours. See you on Saturday . . . Andy ************************************************************************** Agenda BFDF AGM 5.00pm Saturday 27 September 1997 [i.e. before the planned BUF EGM which is due to start at 8.00pm] Progress of BFDF projects to date Coaching/Schools Publicity/Marketing Sports Council Recognition Financial Review Election of Officers National Director Secretary Treasurer Director of Communications [any other posts created at the meeting ...] AOB ========================================================================= Apologies for very short notice.
