For those regions without and RC in post, maybe the onus does fall back onto Director of Competitions to co-opt someone local to the region to make sure that they happen. Come on people! Get your arses in gear. There are many fine examples of keen players who took the big step and organised their first event - why shouldn't you be the next to follow in their footsteps? As Si Hill has indicated, he and others are only too willing to help and advise if they can. Me? ... I'm a bit busy with the BFDF to organise an event, but I have organised one or two events in the past and I can attest that afterwards you get a real sense of achievement - the effort is well worth it! Just my tuppence worth. Sideline Sam.
